Where to Stay in NYC This Winter
The TWA Hotel (JFK Airport)
This hotel is a must! Start or end your winter trip in style at the TWA Hotel at JFK, where retro glamour meets modern comfort. This iconic property is especially appealing during winter travel when convenience and comfort matter most. This is most certainly a slice of history and one of the only places where you can watch airplanes landing and taking off!! This is because this hotel has been made inside the old TWA terminal!
Why it’s perfect for winter:
Ultra soundproof rooms for restful sleep after travel days
Mid-century modern design that feels cozy and nostalgic
Heated rooftop infinity pool overlooking the runway
Ideal for early flights or weather-related travel delays
Winter tip: Staying here before departure eliminates stress during snowy or icy conditions.
Staypineapple Hotel (Midtown Manhattan)
For a festive and central home base, Staypineapple Midtown puts you steps away from NYC’s most iconic holiday attractions. You can also bring your furry friends along as they are pet friendly! I also love the free snacks throughout the day and refillable water bottle (sparkling or flat) throughout the day. The best part of my stay here, other than the location was the bed! Probably the most comfortable sleep of my life at any hotel!
See a video of my hotel stay here.
Why travelers love it in winter:
Walking distance to Times Square, Bryant Park Winter Village, and Fifth Avenue
Warm, plush bedding perfect after cold days outdoors
Boutique feel with welcoming pineapple hospitality
Pet friendly hotel
Holiday highlight: Being able to pop back inside to warm up between sightseeing stops is a game changer.
